-Abbotsford Police rescue a eldery man in medical distress from his own home, where he'd apparently been for over a month. The stench was so bad police had to use gas masks. Cbl. Ian Mcdonald says family or friends should've kept in contact with the 75 yr old.

-Temperature in eastern Canada expected to hit the high 30s today, with a humidex close to 50.
-Valley Express bus company offering service from Chilliwack to Vancouver beginning this weekend, and every weekend through Labour Day.

-25 yr old Shaun James Cochrane sentenced on Monday, responsible for the deaths of 3 people in Abbotsford last year. He ran a red light and hit a car, which in turn hit 3 people waiting to cross the intersection. 27 yr old Laurel Wilson, her unborn baby and her father were killed. Cochrane has been banned from driving for life.
-23 yr old Ryan Kuester of Chilliwack recognized by city council for winning 2 gold medals in swimming at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Athens, Greece last month.
